Chasing Shadow
I move furtively gripped by a suffocating plight
My breaths run out into the darkness of night
Don't know how long I have been running like this
As my conscience sinks into the logical prejudice
I have been chased by my own shadow
Everywhere across the meadow
I have been chased by my own shadow
Everywhere inside my credo
Tried so many times to leave it behind
Tried to act as if I am blind
Tried to hide myself into the darkness
Tried to fade away into the madness
But it has been chasing me since that night
When me and Tom picked up a nasty fight
I was in rage, pulled the trigger in no time
Only my shadow was a witness of the crime
Since then,
I crawl furtively gripped by a suffocating plight
Even if I am dreaming, my breathing is quite
My sanity is engulfed by this growing blight
My own shadow is epitome of someone else's spite
I have been chased by my own shadow
Everywhere across the meadow
I have been chased by my own shadow
Everywhere inside my credo
Tried so many times to leave it behind
Tried to act as if I am blind
Tried to hide myself into the darkness
Tried to fade away into the madness
Since then,
I have been running, running and running
